If your door is rubbing against the jamb, it could be due to a number of reasons including swelling or shrinkage caused by changes in humidity or temperature, loose hinges or hardware, jamb, frame, or flooring deficiencies or settlement and structural issues. To fix it consult a finishing carpenter or try the following: tightening the hinges and hardware, trimming or sanding the door slightly, packing the hinges, or adjusting the strike plate. If the issue persists or is related to structural problems, it's best to consult a professional contractor.
