Getting started with inspectagram
Welcome to inspectagram!
This guide walks you through the first-time setup process so you can avoid common setup issues and prepare inspectagram for your first inspection.
📲 Step 1: Download the App
Download the inspectagram app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
⚠️ Important: Complete your account setup using your mobile phone. Do not create your account on a desktop computer.
🔑 Step 2: Choose Your Login Method
When you first open the app, choose how you'd like to sign in:
▶️ Sign in with Google
📧 Sign in with Email and Password
⚠️ Important: Always use the same sign-in method for future logins. Using a different method may create a second account and prevent access to your inspection data.
Tap the green button in the bottom-right corner to continue.
👤 Step 3: Complete Your Basic Information
Enter your name, email address and phone number.
Then continue through onboarding until you reach the black screen with the owl.
⚠️ Step 4: Choose the Correct Option
When you reach the black screen with the owl, you'll see a green button that says:
I'm a Subscriber
🎓 If You Have a Redemption Code
Do not tap the green button.
Instead, tap the white text near the bottom of the screen that says:
Have a redemption code? Redeem it here
Enter your redemption code and continue through onboarding.

You can redeem additional codes at any time by navigating to Profile → Settings → Redeem Code.
📱 If You Do Not Have a Redemption Code
Tap the green I'm a Subscriber button.
You'll then be guided through the subscription process using:
▶️ Google Play Store
Choose the subscription option that best meets your needs and follow the prompts to complete your purchase.
💳 Important Subscription Note
Redemption codes are separate from Apple App Store and Google Play subscriptions.
If you previously started a free trial or subscription through Apple or Google, you must cancel it through your Apple or Google account settings. Redeeming a code in inspectagram does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription.
📸 Step 5: Finish Setting Up Your Profile
Continue through onboarding and complete your profile.
Before publishing your first report, make sure you:
✅ Create your signature
✅ Verify your contact information
A profile photo and signature are required before reports can be published. Both can be added or updated later from the Profile page, using the person icon on the far right of the main dashboard.
🏢 Step 6: Create Your Company
Unless you're joining an existing inspection company already using inspectagram, select:
✅ Create a Company
If you're an independent inspector or student, use your name, email address and phone number. You can update your company information later.
Select Join a Company only if you've been invited by an existing company owner.
✔️ Quick Checklist
Before your first inspection, confirm that you've:
✅ Chosen your permanent sign-in method
✅ Entered your basic information
✅ Redeemed your code or completed your Apple/Google subscription
✅ Added your profile photo
✅ Created your signature
✅ Created your company
Once these steps are complete, you're ready to begin using inspectagram.
